About Amanda Ree
Meet Amanda Ree — canine wellness practitioner, certified educator, and ordained Animal Chaplain.
Raised in Lake Tahoe surrounded by animals at her family’s pet store, Amanda’s connection to dogs began early and never left. Her professional path took shape in 2001 when she began studying at the Sivananda Yoga Centers, earning her 500-hour yoga teaching certification.
In 2006, she became a lead educator and Vice President of the Chopra Center, where she taught meditation and Ayurveda internationally and worked alongside respected leaders in integrative health.
In 2016, Amanda founded Sama Dog - a holistic education platform devoted to helping dogs and their humans thrive together. Rooted in Ayurveda and whole-being care, Sama Dog offers education, products, and guidance for guardians seeking a more conscious, natural path.
As an Animal Chaplain and Flower Essence practitioner, Amanda supports both the physical and emotional wellbeing of animals and their families, especially during times of transition and healing.
Her work bridges spirituality, science, and practical care, grounded in one core belief: when dogs and humans are supported together, true wellbeing becomes possible.
In this intimate article, Amanda tells the story of her life and the creation of Sama Dog.
Amanda Ree has taught thousands of people from around the world how to live more healthy, natural, spiritual lives - to include their dogs too.
